If all the good women leave
Whom shall I admire?
To what should I aspire?
I am confused—save me.
I don’t understand.
Is there a master plan?
I know there is but still—
I am confused, save me!
This exodus distresses me;
Please assuage my fear.
Can I have light in here?
I am confused—save me!
Good mentors leave, I am bereft—
Young, naïve and dumb;
No wise, deep minds to plumb.
I am confused—save me!
Should I take my cue?
There’s far too much to do.
Don’t let me face this world alone
While confused. Save me!
